THIS WILL BE THE NEXT BIG THING
Date top: 09, February, 2009
February 2009 / Lilly Stevens Well I’ve heard it before: “this will be the next big thing.” The way the world is right now, I would settle for something moderate and steady. So it was with a skeptical mind that I walked into this web launch event in Las Vegas; the event was promoted as part of a new social / business networking and dating site, www.FlauntParty.com. The event took place at the Rio in one of their private suites. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. The members of www.FlauntParty.com were of average age, 25 to 50, well-dressed, from casual / sexy upscale night club wear to business people dress in slacks and sport coats; overall, everyone was fashionably dressed. I sat down to talk to the two owners, Joseph Morrone / President and Creative Director, and Mike Ford, CEO. The name of the parent company is MoFo Media, Inc.
Q. Does MoFo Media, Inc. mean the obvious? JM. No it stands for the first two letter of each of our last names, Morrone and Ford Q. What made you come up with the concept? JM. We love meeting people, finding out what they do, and why. And we love sophisticated lounges where the music isn’t always booming, so you can actually talk to someone. It’s also our belief that the Internet can take the dating or business networking experience only so far. MF. … Especially when it comes to the business side. You can’t close business deal over the Internet or negotiate a price or the deal over the Internet. You still have to meet face to face. They also told me that this was just a launch party and that all their quartile events will take place in private mansions or lofts not in nightclubs. They said this is a bit more labor intensive, but you have to give the member a different experience and a greater value-added service than is out there now. Me thinks this may be the next big thing!!!
I THOUGHT I WOULD GO THE ANONYMOUS ROUTE

November 2008 / Mike Miller I thought that in order to get t he whole www.FlauntParty.com experience, I wouldn't contact them and go the anonymous route
I heard about their web launch party taking place at the Rio from a friend, so I just decided to go on-line and post a profile. So I went on-line posted a profile and a picture free right away. The process was quick and easy, just two pages of profile questions. They have a forum section and many sponsor links on the sponsor page. Overall, this is a nice looking site. The whole catch is this: if you want to attend one of their private events, you have to be a member. Well, the party came, and I must say, the members were classy and the event was well produced, this was more like one of those well-heeled charitable events.
I give it 4 stars. An event such as this would be worth $100.00 per person. For the first two hours, there was a lot of networking, people talking business or discussing the latest play they’ve seen or the latest traveling they've done, and of course, the ubiquitous flirty going on. After the cocktails were flowing for a while, the lights dimmed and the party began!!!
Overall, I would say this was a very good experience, and I could see, as they say “expanding your sphere of influence” through these events happens by connecting on their web site.
